power

Having power can put you in a very vulnerable position.
Especially if you have no idea of how to use that power. Or of what consequences can come from what you chose to do with the power you hold.
The vulnerability comes from peoples fear of your knowledge of their secrets. Your power over them. It makes for many adversaries. Even though you may have good intentions, you are a target for outlaws and evil.
The trick is to keep vigilant, aware at all times of the dark forces that lie in wait for your every misstep.
